Greg has always had a love for the outdoors and innovative technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Alvernia College. In 1998, he founded Solar Innovations®, a national leader in custom luxury glass structures, skylights, and window and door systems. Because of the many talents within the Solar Innovations® team, and his passion for the the outdoors, Greg started to design and create custom fishing reels, and in 2007 founded Innovative Reel Technologies®. Greg continues to test the products IRT® creates to continuously improve and produce the highest-performing reels possible for our customers.

As the Chief Engineer at IRT® Reels, Tim is responsible for overseeing the development of new technologies. Tim has always worked in the field of engineering and his understanding of how components come together landed him the position of Chief Engineer. Prior to joining the team, he was a Manufacturing Engineer for Penn Reels Spinning from 1990-1998, before engineering for Spinning Reel from 1998-2005 where he designed the Liveliners, Slammers and SSG series reels along with several patents. He joined Solar Innovations® and Innovative Reel Technologies® in 2007 as Chief Engineer of the fishing reels. He holds a MET Engineering Degree from Penn State, 1988.

As a lifelong avid fisherman, Tim knows the benefits of using high end equipment while in the field. Along with building and servicing the reels, he is always working closely with Tim W. and Greg to consistently fine tune and polish the mechanics and aesthetics of the reels. Tim builds every custom IRT at the time of purchase and assures it will be of the highest quality possible before leaving the shop. Along with promptly addressing customers questions, comments, and concerns, he also makes sure every reel purchased gets into the hands of the fisherman as quickly as possible because that next fish can always be the fish of a lifetime!
